Dude Ranch - Children’s Activities
Children need to be at least eight years old in order to go on one of our horseback trail rides. Younger children will enjoy getting to know a horse from the ground, and from up on top as they’re led around by one of our cowboys. During the summer months, children can get up close and personal with some of our dude ranch animals as they feed, pet, and/or hold rabbits, goats, sheep and other small animals in our Petting Barn. Children can also have the opportunity to brush and feed a horse, as well as participate in some of the arena activities such as sheep dressing, roping and bucking barrel. A haywagon ride around the town of Antimony is sure to please. And they’ll be moving to the beat as they learn some western line dancing steps. They’ll be proud of the small craft projects they can make with old horseshoes and feathers. And of course, one of the most popular attractions for children is the playground which has swings, slides and a small rock-climbing wall.
All children activities are parent supervised. Baby sitters can be arranged for in advance and will cost extra.
